SafeVPN.net offers VPN accounts with different levels of encryption to match needs of various users. It’s necessary to choose encryption level for your needs, as it may affect VPN performance.
Accounts with no encryption. Security level – low.
This option available for PPTP and OpenVPN accounts. Users may choose this option in case they don’t need extra security. It’s a good option for using VPN on a router to access streaming sites like youtube or any other similar activity, where performance is the most valuable parameter. It’s also good choice if you need just to mangle your IP and encryption is not important.
L2TP accounts with 256 bits IPSEC encryption. Security level – basic.
We serve L2TP accounts which allow 256 bits secured VPN with a pre-shared key for IPSEC encryption. This option is suitable when the user can allow some basic level of security like accessing the internet in public hotspots or from mobile devices. The security level is low, since a pre-shared key is not unique for the account, thus can’t be considered as a strong. This connection type is compatible with most of mobile devices. It won’t work on most routers though.
PPTP accounts with 128 bits encryption. Security level – moderate.
These accounts protected with MPPE encryption and considered as safe enough for most cases. The only thing that protects the account from revealing is the strength of the password. SafeVPN.net provides strong passwords by default making possible attacker impossible to guess it. Users advised not to use dictionary, easy to guess passwords for their accounts, as in this case the encryption may be useless. These accounts are also compatible with wide choice of mobile platforms, including Android, Apple iOS, Symbian and many routers.
OpenVPN accounts with AES 256 bits encryption. Security level – strong.
This is the most secure VPN accounts we are able to provide. They offering highest possible level of security because of strong encryption and algorithms used. Even in case the user gets keys compromised, there is no possibility to decrypt traffic collected before that. This option is resistant to man-in-the-middle attacks. It offers TLS authentication and SSL encrypted tunnel using the strongest possible AES algorithm. One more important option – it is not possible for your ISP to detect htat you are using a VPN by analysing the network traffic. There are no any patterns for that and OpenVPN can run on any UDP or TCP port. It’s compatible with some routers running DD-WRT, Tomato, OpenWRT firmwares.
There is no need to do something special to order one of options above – just proceed with ordering and choose the necessary tariff. L2TP/PPTP account will provide all available options for L2TP and PPTP connectivity. Same for OpenVPN accounts – both, unencrypted and AES256-encrypted VPN services are available. For mixed tariff all listed options of connection are available on any protocol.
SafeVPN.net is always open to users requests and may configure custom level of encryption of a VPN account. Users from countries with blockage issues like Iran or Syria may wish to have a custom account in case the default won’t work for them.
